Do I need to register or create an account?
No registration or account is required. We do not collect email addresses, phone numbers, or any personally identifiable information. Just open the website and start using it immediately.
What devices does it work on?
Cyber Divination works on any modern device with a web browser — smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers. For the best experience, we recommend using a smartphone to take advantage of the shake-to-draw feature. Supported browsers include Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.

How are the fortunes generated?
Each fortune is randomly selected from a curated database of 100 traditional Chinese fortune sticks using cryptographic random number generation (
crypto.getRandomValues). The selection is weighted: approximately 70% upper-favorable, 15% neutral, and 15% lower-favorable, simulating the natural distribution found in traditional temples.Can I draw multiple fortunes?
Yes! You can draw as many fortunes as you like. After viewing a result, click the "REBOOT DIVINATION" button to clear the current reading and draw a new stick. There is no waiting period or daily limit.
How accurate are the readings?
Cyber Divination is designed as a form of digital art and entertainment rooted in traditional Chinese culture. The interpretations draw from classical texts and are meant to provide inspiration, reflection, and guidance. They should not be taken as absolute predictions or professional advice.
What do the luck levels mean?
The 100 fortune sticks are divided into six luck levels: 上上签 (Upper Supreme, highest), 上签 (Upper), 中上签 (Upper-Middle), 中平签 (Middle Peace, neutral), 中下签 (Lower-Middle), and 下下签 (Lower-Lower, lowest). Each level provides different guidance. See full explanation →

Why isn't shake detection working on my phone?
Shake detection requires motion sensor access. On iOS Safari, go to Settings → Safari → Motion & Orientation Access and enable it. On Android Chrome, motion permissions are typically granted automatically. If shake still doesn't work, you can always tap the tube as an alternative.
Is my data private?
We take privacy seriously. Cyber Divination does not require any personal information, does not use tracking cookies for advertising, and stores fortune results locally in your browser only. For details, see our Privacy Policy.
Can I save my fortune result?
Yes! After receiving a reading, click the "Share" button to generate a cyberpunk-style poster image of your fortune. You can long-press (mobile) or right-click (desktop) to save the image to your device, or share it directly with friends on social media.
Does the site work offline?
The site requires an internet connection to load fonts, scripts, and the fortune database. However, once the page is fully loaded, the fortune drawing logic runs entirely in your browser — so subsequent draws may work without additional network requests. Full offline support via Service Worker is planned for future updates.
